All right! It's time to talk about Sonamy and it's future:

Ok in past posts i already stated how badly Amy's potential was wasted in general and how it affected her relationships and specifically her relationship with Sonic.

When she showed up for the first time in a game she was 8 and was a fangirl of Sonic so... Basically another Tails but without any more use than be a damsel in distress, sonic didn't share her feelings like he did in the manga when she first appeared and then... Well things still didn't get any better in comics and series.

In Archie comics... oh boy... 🤦🤦 Do you remember? She was still 8 and in her classic looks and was still in love with Sonic and additionally she wanted to be part of the freedom fighters but was too young so she used a magic ring or something to get an old enough body... WTF with this plot? Still she had to work hard to finally be part of it and that's great I guess but seriously the changing the body thing was... 😣😣 She still was portrayed as annoying (in another comic she was portrayed as a capable independent warrior but sonic treated her crush for him with too much disgust so...😒)for a while but kept getting better, yet her crush for sonic remained completely one sided for so long until finally little by little he started to be more comfortable with her and she wasn't pushy about her feelings anymore and we got so many nice moments but the best ones to me are in the IDW reboot because I mean... Just look at this:

Best part of it? Sonic is not only comfortable with her he wants her company! Writers and artists of the comic are not allowed to show too much specific emotion like a obvious blush but still they did it pretty clear! He flirts subtly, he gets embarrassed in the good way with her comments and... Isn't he more touchy? Remember the group hug? Tails is also hugging him and then Tangle squeezes everyone with her tail but sonic hands are only AROUND AMY !!! And not only in the modern comics also the comics with the classical look!

Well now the TV shows, i still don't know what will happen in Sonic prime but let's remember others shows:

Sonic X: I'm not a really big fan of this show besides the Knuxrouge moments and for good reason, they had the modern game designs i like but the animation was terrible 🙈🙈 and I can't stand most of the humans because of the lack of charisma specifically that tag along needy bland kid but issue here is how Amy was treated, yeah sure there was some spontaneous moments when she was charming and sweet and a tiny moments when she was a good fighter but in general for comical relief i suppose... She was obnoxious, loud, pushy, obsessive, bossy, over violent... They also took away her moment with shadow ... And in general most characters showed discomfort with her in too many times and she wasn't seen as a capable fighter in the most serious situations so sonic didn't want her around in the battlefield, just see the difference between Rouge and Amy in the show, i guess because Rouge is a match for Knuckles and half antagonist she could be seen as a capable fighter but Amy was just a loud violent fangirl so she couldn't 🙄🙄😒. But I'm going to be fair and point the little sonamy moments, but to be honest they didn't felt that genuine to me because sonic uncomfortable annoyed attitude in general towards her... So this moments felt kinda forced and because of that im not satisfied with them. The remarkable ones: the shells bracelet the sonamy moment to me was Sonic fixing the bracelet and wearing it without Amy knowing cause let's be honest the moment he rushed into water to save her doesn't count because he would do that to save any of his friends so we can't trust that moment in fact he did that for knuckles in the movie and they were still enemies 🤷 and others i remember that there's a Japanese ending that was sung by the seiyus of Amy and Sonic in a duo a sounded really romantic and it shows in the animation how Sonic is looking for a sad Amy in the mist and the last one i remember is when sonic is back from earth and Amy runs going to meet him and yells at him crying her feelings out and he out of nowhere gives her a flower and says something that we casually can't hear in the original dub... Like up to interpretation right? Like he could have said that he loves her and we don't know...🙄😒 Well for this i can't say that sonamy was cannon in this show...

Sonic Boom: well here we are, with this show 😂😂😂 well funny enough unlike with Sonic X or for now in any Sonic stuff ever(except the original manga when she first showed up), i can and I will say absolutely convinced that SONAMY was totally CANNON here, for starters like in the recent comics Amy is again part of the group, capable smart and strong fighter, maybe whiny and bossy but still more charismatic and funny and sarcastic and also those treats are in sintonía with the other characters: sonic sassines, knuckles dumbness, sticks craziness and Tail geekness so everyone Is balanced in annoyingness moments i don't know if I'm explaining myself 😂😂. This time Amy hides her feelings but Is still obvious and Sonic hangs out with her a lot, even without the rest of the group and more importantly HE GETS NOTICEABLE JEALOUS! He was annoyed Amy prefers Vector help than his and was upset when she hugged him, when she was fawning over a skater rat boy, when he thought she had a date with someone, same He has no problem flirting with that girl Perci but with Amy he is shy even though in his fantasy he was enjoying the jealous Amy stating: "don't mind her, she kind of has a thing for me" when in this show she hides her feelings and never told him, Eggman points out that there's something between them, he dreams with her and they had dates alone!! Just like with the Knouge moments in Sonic X, the sonamy moments were the only reason I watched Sonic boom 😂😂😂😂

Oh and what could happen in Sonic prime? It remains to be seen... I hope we get good stuff🫴🫴🫴

And for the games we still have nothing in particular, we just have a new Amy still in love but not obsessed and she is wanted along with the group as a strong asset for the team like she should be

Seriously this scenes meant a lot for me, she was fighting on her own the robots fine and Sonic and Tails looked for her to invite her to the adventure that is all I wanted! I hope the game feed us as well with the Sonamy we deserve.

Guess who plotted out an entire Werehog fic TWO MONTHS AFTER HALLOWEEN AND THEN LOST MOST OF IT THANKS TO MY DUMB BRAIN WHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...

Here's what I remember:

So Eggman figured out a way to use the Chaos Emeralds to cause the Werehog transformation again without splitting apart the planet and awakening Dark Gaia. So he tricked Sonic, Shadow, and Silver into coming and facing off with him, trapped them, and successfully turned the three into Werehogs. And this time, unlike in Sonic Unleashed, they lose themselves to the transformation and become brainless rampaging monsters.

Eggman was prepared for Sonic and Silver, but he had failed to take into consideration what affect the Black Arms DNA in Shadow might have on his Werehog form.

Werehog Shadow turns out to be way stronger and WAY MORE AGGRESSIVE than Sonic AND Silver combined, and Eggman very quickly loses control of him and Shadow is able to escape. Sonic and Silver also get loose during the mayhem, and because Werehog Shadow's an aggressive and territorial piece of shit that will fight anything that as much as looks at him funny, and Werehog Sonic and Werehog Silver only get violent when provoked, the three end up destroying Eggman's lair fighting each other before escaping out into the world.

By day, Sonic, Shadow, and Silver are back to normal. They can't remember going to confront Eggman, and they can never remember the nights they spend rampaging around as Werehogs.

Reports of Werehog attacks start to spring up all over the place, cue the Restoration and GUN scrambling to remedy the situation.

(Note: This is NOT the catalyst for CS91. Trust me, that event is SO MUCH WORSE. But this is the event that caused GUN and the Restoration to hate each other. GUN wanted to shoot the Werehogs to solve the problem, Jewel was adamant [once it was discovered the Werehogs were Sonic, Shadow, and Silver] that shooting them would NOT be considered until all other possible solutions were attempted and failed. So the two groups started sabotaging each other's attempts to capture (Restoration) or eliminate (GUN) the Werehogs, and caused YEARS of business professional passive aggression between the two groups.)

Shadow was the first one discovered, but it took several attempts to successfully capture the guy because he was too strong and angry. I had how the Restoration finally got him under control, but sadly lost it to the void. 😭

Silver actually flew under the radar for a long time, because half the people trying to round up the Werehogs didn't even realize he was in the present until halfway through the whole thing, and he was the least aggressive of the three Werehogs to the point that his few attacks were being mislabeled as Sonic's. The Restoration didn't realize they were dealing with *3* Werehogs until Jewel and the Chaotix realized on one night three different attacks happened at almost the same time, so there HAD to be 3 Werehogs (Then Espio realized SECONDS before disaster struck that A: The third Werehog HAS TO BE Silver, and B: OH GOD SILVER'S IN THIS BUILDING WITH US AND THE SUN'S SETTING-

That goes kinda poorly, but they do successfully contain him in the end.)

That's all I got, the rest is just fragments that don't make sense without their context, and the context has been yeeted into the void by my dumb brain getting overwhelmed today. 😒

Shared Traits Tag Game

My time to overshare has come, so thanks for the opportunity, @dontjudgemeimawriter!<3 I've changed my approach to creating characters since the days when I was working on Spirit, so while this was a good exercise, it was also a bit surprising to see the results 🤔

To be fair, one trait I've always shared and always will share with my characters is the baseline idiot value that gets triggered randomly and applies a 3-chapter detour debuff 🤣

Not too long, but putting it under a cut because feeling like it. Anyhow, leaving this one fully open and joinable:)

Anne: extremely rose-tinted lenses -> not much room for finding me in her. And that was a very comforting thing tbh. I've never created a character I can love as much as her y'all🥺 she's my mental refuge and I think half of the reason why she's so fascinating is that she's so different, yet feels familiar to me. But, oh, I like to think we both take things in stride (she's in her own league though lol), and we're both also pretty damn good at entertaining ourselves when alone

Tyrone: gave him my early fear of shadows and being alone, he took my stubbornness with his own grabby hands aaand his innate shyness (omg don't I know exactly why he gets like that when he talks to Anne). Now I'm wondering if I was half as random as a kid as he is lol. Oh oh, and we both love to laugh

Malchior: he's the least like me. When creating him I wanted an angel/deity I could actually love and see why they were revered, so it definitely didn't leave much room for me lol. Oh, okay, I gave him my crippling self-awareness coupled with a good dose of anxiety 🤣 watch him go up in flames if something socially unexpected happens

The Mother: this feels like I'd be insulting myself 🤣🤣 but I guess we both had high aims, often believed we take on more than we actually could, that we were better than we actually were (swollen heads galore? you bet). We're both also very much not good with feelings, tho I like to analyze mine while she... drops the hot potato into boiling water lol... okay damn after Imera she's the most relatable to me. I need a moment to process this

Imera: I probably owe him a formal apology for dumping all my grief on his unsuspecting, punt-able head. updates.

Don't remember the last time I shared some things, but I got my counselor license at the top of this year, so I'm a licensed professional counselor in my state! Working on certifications on child and adolescent trauma as well as a neuropsychological treatment approach to anxiety. I'm going to apply for my next (and final) license which would allow me to open my own private practice (which is the goal) in August of next year. I also got a car, her name is dulce. She's the babe. Uhhhh got formally diagnosed with PCOS, and that's been kicking my ass in so many ways, so that sucks. Been working on a writing project for a minute now, but I can't talk about it cause it's not just mine. Anddddd......I've been reading more and playing sims on Saturdays. Oh! I'm also only gonna be working Monday through Thursday starting the 3rd week of August, so hopefully that will free up some time.

Probably more, but I won't bore folks.

A/N: My god, BP2 was such an emotional ride. This is a product of all of the emotions I'm still reeling from. I have not written for BP in probably a year+, so I apologize for the rustiness.

Loving him was easy. 

Maybe too easy.

Maybe things would have been easier if he wasn’t so easy. So easy to admire, so easy to be drawn to, so easy to feel an ungodly amount of love and adoration for. 

But maybe that was just T’Challa. With his beautiful smile and brilliant mind, few paths seemed to lead to some place loveless. He was the embodiment of attraction, from the way he spoke, to the way he conducted himself, to the way he loved.

Yeah….easy seemed to be unavoidable. 

A small smile makes its way to your face as you reminisce on your first meeting all those years ago. 

“Would you just tell me already?”

Nakia simply looks over at you with that same bored yet tempted expression. “And ruin the surprise? Never.”

She laughs, clearly amused by your frustration, by the lack of patience for which you’ve still struggled to fully comprehend. 

You’d just completed your War Dog training and had been assigned to Nakia, to shadow her on a few missions and prove that you were ready for your own assignment. It was a perfect partnership, as Nakia matched your wit and sense of humor, both of which had definitely gotten you in trouble more times than you’d like to admit.

“How about a hint?”

“How about no?”

Your eyes narrowed as you nudged her. “You are enjoying this.”

“Somewhat,” she admits. You share another look before giggling together when a firm voice from behind interrupts your moment. 

“Forgive me, ladies.”

“You are not forgiven,” your response is natural and instantaneous, a small smirk playing on your face. “Matter of fact, you should know better than to sneak on two lad–” The smirk drops and your ridicule is cut short by the dark eyes and curious gaze of the crowned prince who stands before you. 

If Nakia was amused before, she was delighted now. You can feel her eyes still focused on you as she bumps you with her hip. “Y/N, you didn’t finish your statement. How rude.”

Your glare could burn two holes into the princess as she shakes her head and returns her focus onto Prince T’Challa. 

“Yes, T’Challa?” It’s in the most random, unexpected moments that you remember while Nakia is your friend, she is also royalty. Perhaps it’s something you should commit to memory, especially given how you’ve just completely disregarded all protocol for the future ruler of Wakanda. 

Finally able to pick your eyeballs off the ground, you find that T’Challa’s gaze is pinpointed on you. “Nakia is correct. It is improper to finish your statement…..”

He trails off, and you realize he’s searching for your name. Slightly dejected and still embarrassed, you answer, hastily adding a “your grace” onto the end. For good measure and respect.

He simply makes a sound before repeating your name. It feels so strange hearing your name on his mouth, strange but also….right. Shifting your stance, you’re thankful when he finally reirects his focus to Nakia. Memory of what was said between them was lost years ago, but the initial butterflies in your stomach upon your first meeting have always stayed with you. 

You pray to Bast they always will.

Thoughts after episode 5… (this is really late)

I LOVE Arrowette.

I LOVE Arsenal.

I LOVE Arrowette and Arsenal together as well as apart - I they were hilarious. Absolutely give me more of those two - they’re a great pairing… Shenanigans and snark - I want more of it. Also I’ve just been rewatching season 1 again and they give me Wally and Artemis bickering vibes. (I don’t need them to get together - but they’re a fun duo).

Also the bit where Arrowette gets tranqed and just falls on a thoroughly unimpressed Cassandra was really funny - so I want more of her with everyone.

Then there’s Roy and Will who are pure gold - I’m so happy Roy is back on the Team - he’s gonna be great. The bit where he brings up Will being a previous mole was really funny (and had a similar energy to Gar bringing up Lex when M’gann said she got the Kent’s blessing to marry Conner - makes me wonder if we’ll get a similar moment in each of the character arcs.)

Another thing - the image of Cassandra missing half her arm gave me serious flashbacks to Will and Cheshire finding frozen Roy with half his arm missing in S2. While I know nothing about Cassandra’s comic book counterpart - only that she’s seemingly based on a Scandal Savage - part of me is like - what if Scandal becomes a clone of Cassandra - like Will is to Roy…? Of course, like I said I have no wider dc knowledge - only YJ - so this likely isn’t the case - but it would be a cool callback to s1.

Anyway, I don’t trust anyone (as ever) and I’m sure whatever conclusion the heroes get to - it will end in disaster… after all, this is Young Justice.

Oh and last thing - HOW ADORABLE WAS LITTLE BABY DAMIAN!!! 🙀🙀🙀 TOO FRICKIN CUTE - I was not prepared in any way for it - but I want more. I do kinda wanna see an end credits scene of him playing with some sort of deadly weapon - I think it would mirror the superman credits well. Also part of me wondered if it could be Jason who will take Damian to Bruce instead of Talia - since he is there and she seems pretty attached at the minute - but then another part of me immediately countered with - I doubt Damian is going anywhere without his usual shadows training and I don’t think he’s had much yet. So we’ll see what happens with him and all the other baby heroes being introduced.

The only negative I had was that the montage of Artemis’s life pre and post finding out about Conner went a little too fast for me. It was a bit jarring… Honestly, I still can’t decide if I like the montages as a feature yet, or not. I totally get why they’re there and they’re kinda like comic book panels - but for me, sometimes they just don’t fit as smoothly as they should do… Same with having characters not speaking - it stands out in a way it never did in s1&2 - and I’m still not sure why… But that’s just me.

Ok I’m definitely gonna leave it there now. I’m a bit behind on posting stuff I’ve been working on - I got distracted by doing Redbubble stuff, then getting obsessed with Eternals stuff (I loved it so much!), then I saw that post from Greg on Twitter which annoyed me — and I think it punctured some of my YJ enthusiasm because I’ve been down ever since… So yeah, I need a new episode to raise my spirit a bit - or some kind of Ed/Bart content - because they make me happy and we’re clearly not getting them in the show any time soon. 😒 (Expect a post on this subject because I need to rant so hard.)

Anyway… hope everyone’s well and enjoying the season so far - I definitely am.

What was your dream as a child? Did you wanna be a fireman? A princess? or a secret agent?! (me? I wanted to be a cop, then a gymnast and now a writer/animator) We all had our little fantasies of what we wanted to be and as we got older, we matured and opened our eyes to reality and discovered our true passions and talents. We still keep those memories in our hearts and we look back fondly on them because it’s what made us who we are. If by some miracle it happens then congratulations! Wonder what our heroes childhood dreams were? Let’s find out:

*Wishmaker-It’s career expo time and anyone who wants to check out the sights or has trouble what their future is can go through and see what’s what. Well we know what our heroes careers are (minus being superheroes):Marinettes gonna be a fashion designer and Adriens gonna be a model! Right!?…….No? Whattaya mean? It’s what they do isn’t it? Turns out, Marinette isn’t sure if fashion design is her true calling cuz she does other things like crafting, building, planning her future life with Adrien, etc and Adrien only took up modeling to please his dad (he said so on “Miraculous Secrets”) and doesn’t actually know what he wants to do with his life, so they both go to the expo.

The expo is located at Île aux Cygnes (aka Swan Island) like how it was mentioned it would be shown for Season 4 as promised. Huh, don’t think I saw that in my time in Paris? What is that place? It’s like a small island with a prototype of the Statue of Liberty of sorts? Idk? Anyways, everyone we knows there! Andre the ice cream vendor, Luka our on again/off again Viperion and-oh f**k! It’s him!😒Alec Cataldi! That bombastic celebrity guy who’s basically the Ryan Seacrest of “Miraculous Ladybug”. Everything he hosts may sound fun and exciting, but whenever some one loses a competition (“Stormy Weather” and “Kwamibuster”), gets humiliated (“Simon Says” and “Dark Owl”) or is “just there for him to mess with” (oh no! Wait! That was SentiAlec! (“Optigami”)), he always makes them look worse by commenting on how it sucks for them to the general public and as such, they get akumatized! Not cool man! Not cool! What’s his problem!? You’d think he’d stop after realizing what happens afterwards!? But no! He doesn’t! He does it for the lime light! F**k Alec! :P

Look at that! Seems as though Andre the ice cream vendor guy and Luka countered the hosts smart Alec-y ways (Badum-tish🥁) and put him in his place! Ha! Ha! Not so funny now is it Alec!? Hmmm, what’s this? He’s-he’s having a realization? Well folks, it looks like our cocky host was bullied in his youth for having a big funky afro, so he shaved it off and became a host to mock others like how they mocked him. So that’s his problem! Shadow Moth senses his breakdown and akumatizes him as Wishmaker! An all black wearing villain that turns everyone into their childhood dream! Like wanting to be both a fireman and a cowboy! Or Santa Claus! Or even a cucumber!?🤨. Okay weird, but it was their dream. I don’t see the issue here, what’s so wrong with this villain wanting to make peoples dreams come true? It’s cute and generous, so why is it a bad thing? Seriously I was confused by that, but then I realized “Oh! I get it” by doing so it makes them look they way they imagined they see themselves as! For ex. As for Adrien, the guys had his whole entire life planned out for him and thus never had a say in anything! Damn! He doesn’t even remember much of his childhood either! When (willingly) hit by Wishmaker, turned out his dream was “to be what his parents wanted him to be”. Holy sh*t! Does this poor guy not have any independence what-so-ever!? Then the whole sentimonster theory came into thought again. Sentimonsters don’t have free will unless they get a hold of their amok (“Ladybug”) and if that’s the case, then he doesn’t have any say in his wants and needs and only submits to authority and probably is a sentimonster! (Gasp!). Others have already found their true calling such as Andre the ice cream vendor who originally worked in a boring old office job where he was 🎶Unhappy, unhappy, VERY unhappy, Unhappy, unhappy, Very very, Very very, Very very, VERY unhappy🎶 and was only happy when he went home at the end of the day to make himself some ice cream and decided to bring that happiness (and “magic”) to others! Our snake boy Luka here wanted to make music and no not cuz he wants to be a rock star like his dad with Kitty Section, but literally make music! From scratch! With his hands! As in building the f**king instruments! Yeah! Like that! We’re expanding more on the characters over here! Speaking of which, we had a major character development for our host with the most, Alec Cataldi, and he’s no longer gonna be an a**hole anymore!✨Hallelujah!🙏✨Now he’s gonna be making peoples dreams come true rightfully while fabulously dressed in drag and being supportive! - Tink is a toxic lil bitch but she’s my toxic lil bitch. The glow and magic are so pretty. When i was a kid i was drawn to blondes with long hair and pink dresses but i would secretly be super impressed when female characters had none of that. Green wasnt usually a girl color so i was impressed with this color choice for tink. I remember thinking that if it was me designing a fairy she’d have the most flowery pink dress with big wings and long flowing hair but tink’s design is so simple but elegant fairy like i loved it then and i love it now. The shape of her wings is one of my fave aspects of it

- Love both “the second star to the right” songs from the og and sequel. It makes me nostalgic for neverland like ive been there

- “I dont wanna have my own room, i wanna stay in the same room as my male siblings” said no one ever but Wendy

- Old disney movies always have at least 1 joke that is just genuinely ridiculously funny. The father falling and the family running to see if the dog is ok is that joke in Peter Pan

- Mary is one of the best disney mothers. She’s so loving, patient, kind, soft spoken and comprehensive. Her kids are talking about pirates, fairies, shadows and she just goes along with it

- GEORGE IS SO FUNNY “PETER PAN? WHATEVER SHALL WE DO?” HIS SARCASTIC ASS 😭 I love this couple contrast so much 😂

- Noting looks better in 2d animation then sparkles. That pixie dust trail behind tink takes all my attention

- Oh to be able to fly…. If i could have any super power it would 100% be to be able to fly. When i was a kid i had a dream i could fly, more like levitate horizontally for like 1 meter above ground but it was so real i really thought it had happened
